The Mission of Lusaka Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited is to provide quality water and sanitation services to customers in Lusaka Province using commercially and environmentally sustainable strategies. In order to achieve this, the Company must have a human capital currency comprised of dynamic and energetic staff who are performance driven and who possess the requisite competencies to deliver on expected targets. As part of our efforts to achieve this, the Company is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced Zambians for Two vacant positions of Artisan Electrician, on a permanent and pensionable contract basis.

1. Job Purpose 

The job-holder reports to the Superintendent - Electrical and is responsible for repairing and coordinating maintenance of electrical equipment to ensure maximum availability and efficiency of operations.

1.  Key Responsibilities

1. Undertaking repairs of electrical equipment and machinery
2. Carrying out preventive maintenance on plant and equipment
3. Installing and maintaining electrical equipment and machinery
4. Swift and timely identification of probable risk issues in the area of operation, and ensuring that these are attended to or escalated as required.
5. Assisting with the timely preparation and submission of maintenance reports on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis, or as required.

1. Qualifications and Experience

1. Grade 12 School Certificate or General Certificate of Education
2. Craft Certificate in Electrical from a recognized institution
3. One (1) years’ relevant experience.
4. Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ).
5. Knowledge of plant operations, sewer networks, water supply and Sanitation.
