Job Purpose 

Carry out installation, repairs, maintenance and fault finding on all mechanical equipment / machinery.            

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Asses work to be done and materials required completing tasks on receipt of job cars and instruction from supervisor.

1. Diagnose nature and cause of faults malfunction, defects of machineries.

1. Raises requisitions and collects material/ spares and appropriate tools on approval by supervisor and proceeds to effect repairs.

1. Carries out mechanical maintenance, repair overhaul and installation work to the pumps and other equipment.

1. Undertake routine planned maintenance and serving of pumps as per given schedule and instruction to ensure minimum disruption to operations.

1. Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Craft Certificate in Mechanical Fitting or its equivalent
2. Two (2) years relevant work experience
3. Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia
